Low-E Glass (Low Emissivity Glass)

What is law E Glass?

Low-E glass is an energy-efficient solution designed to reduce heat transfer, block harmful UV rays, and improve indoor comfort. With advanced coating technology, it delivers superior insulation while maintaining natural light—making it ideal for modern commercial and residential buildings.

Quality & Performance

Low-E glass is a high-performance glass coated with an ultra-thin, invisible metallic layer designed to control heat transfer while maintaining natural light. It enhances energy efficiency, improves indoor comfort, and reduces long-term operating costs.

Key Advantages

1. Energy Efficiency

Reflects heat back to its source

Key Advantages

1. Energy Efficiency

Reflects heat back to its source:

  • keeps heat inside in winter
  • keeps heat outside in summer
lowers HVAC usage and energy bills

2. UV Protection

Blocks up to 70–90% of harmful UV rays

  • protects furniture, flooring, and interiors from fading
makes it valuable for both homes and commercial spaces

3. Improved Comfort

Maintains stable indoor temperature

  • reduces hot spots near windows
  • improves overall building comfort

4. Natural Light Without Heat

Allows sunlight in while minimizing heat transfer

 bright spaces without overheating

5. Modern Aesthetic

Slight reflective or tinted appearance

gives buildings a premium, architectural look

Types of Low-E Glass

Types of Low-E Glass

1. Passive Low-E (Hard Coat)

  • applied during manufacturing
  • more durable
  • allows more solar heat to enter
     best for cold climates

 2. Solar Control Low-E (Soft Coat)

  • higher performance coating
  • better at blocking heat from outside
best for hot climates (like Texas)

 3. Double Glazed Low-E (Insulated Glass Unit – IGU)

  • two glass layers with Low-E co

 3. Double Glazed Low-E (Insulated Glass Unit – IGU)

  • two glass layers with Low-E coating
  • often filled with argon gas
very strong insulation, most common in buildings

 4. Triple Glazed Low-E

  • three layers of glass
     maximum energy efficiency (premium projects)
